BASEBALL TEAM TO CONDUCT HITTING CAMP
RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University will be conducting a baseball hitting camp, Feb. 7-10, for all youngsters, ages 7-18, in the hitting cage on the main concourse (third level) of Roy Kidd Stadium.
There will be three sessions each of the four nights, beginning at 6:00-7:00 p.m. for those campers, age 7-9. From 7:00-8:00 p.m. each night, youngsters 10-12 will have a hitting session. Each night closes with those players, age 13-18, who have enrolled for a session from 8:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
EKU head baseball coach Jim Ward and his staff will be the instructors for the camp. The camp will cover physical and mental aspects of hitting a baseball. Hitting fundamentals, power hitting, bat control and two-strike hitting will also be covered at the hitting camp.
The price for the four-day camp is $60.00 and includes a T-shirt, instruction, camp certificate and a hitting outline.
Due to limited enrollment, early registration is encouraged.
