EKU SIGNS PULASKI COUNTY OUTFIELDER

RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University head baseball coach Jim Ward has announced the signing of outfielder Josh Anderson, 6-2, 180, from Pulaski County High School to a national letter-of-intent.

Anderson was an All-District, All-Regional and All-Sectional Tournament choice his junior and senior seasons. He also made All-District and All-Regional as a sophomore.

He batted .522 with 10 home runs, 50 runs batted in and 34 stolen bases this past season for coach Gilbert Wilson's PCHS squad.

"Josh is very athletic, as indicated by his statistics, is an outstanding hitter with power and has excellent speed," Ward said. "He has excellent range in the outfield and we project him as a superior player in the OVC before he completes his career.

"Josh is an outstanding addition to a talented freshman class," Ward added.

He is the son of Allen and Patti Anderson of Eubank, KY.
